THE TEPA LEGACY

More than a name above the door.

The story began in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, where Ricardo’s grandfather and his father’s uncle owned the family’s first barbershop together. When Ricardo’s grandfather passed away, his father, Jesús “Tepa” Marquez, took over his station and carried the work forward.

Jesús later came to the United States. With time, discipline, and the same pride he learned in his father’s shop, he opened Tepa Barbershop in Boyle Heights—giving the family tradition a new home in Los Angeles.

When Jesús passed away, Ricardo took responsibility for the shop and became the third generation to continue the craft. Today, every haircut is part of that inheritance: three generations, two countries, and one name kept alive through honest work and respect for every person who sits in the chair.
